Welcome to European Safer Gambling Week 2025

The European Safer Gambling Week is an annual pan-European initiative organised by the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) to raise awareness about safer gambling and reinforce a strong culture of player protection, uniting stakeholders in a common mission to promote safe and sustainable play.

From 17-23 November 2025, we’re bringing together Europe’s gambling sector to share resources, exchange best practices, discuss the latest developments in research and regulation, and ensure that players have access to the tools and support they need to play safely.

Growing Stronger Together

Now in its fifth year, the initiative has evolved into a pan-European movement. What started in 2021 grew last year into a comprehensive campaign spanning 26 countries, with participation from nearly 200 organisations, including gambling operators, national gambling authorities, technology providers, support organisations, and research institutions.

The impact of the initiative continues to expand each year, with millions of players receiving important safer gambling messages in their own languages. Through a coordinated social media campaign, educational events, and outreach, we’re aiming to amplify messages that make safer gambling awareness accessible to everyone.

Together with our partners, we’ll be sharing safety messaging across social media platforms aiming to reach millions of players with practical tips and support resources in their local languages.

Specialised Events

Throughout the week, we’ll be hosting and facilitating conferences, workshops, and webinars that bring together stakeholders to share best practices and innovations in player protection and discuss the latest research and regulatory developments.

Pan-European Collaboration

There will be organisations participating from across Europe’s gambling sector, from major operators and national regulators to local support services, all promoting the same player safety messages together.
